Why we do not begin with a three-area package

Treatment for lines and wrinkles is often sold as one, two or three areas. We believe that is an overly simplistic starting point.

The face does not move in isolated sections. Its muscles work together across the forehead, eyes, lower face and neck. Some muscles lift, others pull down, and neighbouring areas can influence one another.

For some patients, the forehead, frown lines or crow’s feet may be the appropriate focus. For others, movement around the mouth, chin, jawline or neck may contribute to a tense expression, downturned mouth corners, chin dimpling, visible neck bands or reduced jawline definition.

Forehead and brow position: The forehead raises the eyebrows as well as creating horizontal lines, so its role in supporting the brows must be considered.

Frown lines: Strong activity between the eyebrows can create vertical lines and an unintentionally stern or worried appearance.

Lines around the eyes: These form through smiling and squinting. The aim is not necessarily to remove every smile line.
