UltraClear Laser Before & After — Real Recovery and Day-by-Day Results (UK)

Real Recovery After UltraClear Laser Treatment

This case follows the recovery of a 60-year-old male patient in the UK after UltraClear laser skin resurfacing, a new-generation minimal-downtime fractional laser treatment.
He presented with pigmentation spots, solar keratosis, and thickened, roughened skin on the cheeks and temples — classic signs of long-term UV damage.
Because he wears a permanent moustache and beard, treatment was limited to the forehead, temples, cheeks, and upper neck.

These unfiltered, day-by-day photos offer a realistic look at UltraClear laser before and after results and what patients can expect during recovery.

Treatment Overview

This treatment combined both surface refinement and deeper collagen stimulation using the UltraClear laser.

We selected Ring 2 — a medium-intensity “circles” pattern — to deliver uniform superficial coverage to a controlled depth of around 40 μm (micrometres).
The circles component targets fine surface irregularities, pigmentation, and mild textural roughness, gently resurfacing the outer layers of the skin.

In addition, fractional micro-drills were used to reach deeper levels:
- Forehead and under-eye area: micro-drills to 300 μm
- Cheeks: micro-drills to 500 μm for enhanced collagen stimulation
- Spot ablative passes: directed at thickened keratotic patches on the cheeks

This combination of circles and drills provides precise, multi-layer renewal — resurfacing the epidermis while stimulating dermal remodelling — to achieve visible improvement in tone and texture with a predictable, short recovery.

Day-by-Day UltraClear Laser Recovery (Before & After Photos)

Our patient photographed his progress each morning for 11 days following UltraClear laser skin resurfacing.
All photos are unfiltered and taken in consistent natural light, providing a true picture of healing from early redness through to the final glow.

For most patients, visible recovery is well advanced within the first five days — redness subsides, dryness settles, and skin looks clear enough for work or social activity.
The remaining days show ongoing refinement, with tone and texture continuing to improve as the skin remodels beneath the surface.

This sequence shows both short-term healing and the gentle refinement that continues beyond the first week. Most patients feel comfortable returning to work or normal routines within 3–5 days.

Aftercare Essentials

Immediately after treatment, the skin was cooled using the Velez Cooling Mask to ease heat and redness.
A layer of Neova CU3 Tissue Repair Cream was then applied to reinforce the barrier, followed by Neova Recovery Lotion to maintain hydration and comfort.

Over the following days, aftercare remained simple and adaptable:
- Patients can alternate between the CU3 Tissue Repair Cream and the Recovery Lotion depending on how the skin feels.
- During the first few days, it’s normal to experience some dryness or light skin flaking, often described as a fine “skin dandruff.”
- When the skin feels drier or tighter, the richer CU3 Cream provides better comfort. As this dryness eases, the lighter Recovery Lotion can be used instead.
- Broad-spectrum SPF 50 is introduced from Day 2 or 3, depending on exposure and individual circumstances.

This uncomplicated, responsive routine supports the skin’s natural recovery and maintains barrier integrity following UltraClear laser resurfacing.

Visible Results

By Day 5, redness had mostly resolved and previously rough, UV-damaged areas appeared smoother and clearer.
Pigmentation had lightened and the complexion looked more even.
UltraClear laser delivers these improvements with minimal downtime — most patients feel presentable within a few days, while deeper collagen renewal continues gradually for several weeks.

Doctor’s Perspective

“UltraClear laser allows precise control of depth and energy, producing visible renewal with rapid recovery.
In this case, we rejuvenated sun-damaged skin safely and predictably, creating a fresher, natural-looking result.”
